The Edge Grinding Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

Vertical grinding machine is widely used in the stone processing field. Its process mainly includes rough grinding, fine grinding, and polishing.
1. rough grinding
Rough grinding is the first process of vertical edge grinding machines. Using the corresponding shape of the grinding wheel on the edge of the stone excess stone, remove the excess material to obtain the shape of the curvature of the process. The rough grinding process uses a coarse grinding head with a coarse abrasive grit.
2. fine grinding
After the rough grinding process, the stone edge shape is still very rough, so need to use the corresponding grinding wheel, the stone edge into a one-time grinding. The fine grinding process uses a finer abrasive grit than the rough grinding process.  The fine grinding process removes the residual material from the stone edge and makes the surface smooth and even.
3. Polishing
Polishing is the final step in the Vertical Edge Grinder process. Polishing is carried out using a polishing head with high-quality diamond grinding pads. The stone is fed through the polishing head with the help of a conveyor belt. The polishing process gives a glossy surface to the stone.
